Suseri – Basara

Suseri is one of my favourite Melbourne based DJ’s and this mix is a prime example why. ‘Basara’ is an expertly mixed symphony of twisted progressive sound with influences ranging from Techno to Psy Trance and beyond. Originally hailing from Nagoya, Japan, Suseri has a unique ability to transport her audience  to a place where the walls of reality quickly fade away and all that is left is the hypnotic sound of one perfect bass line mixed into the next. If you like your sounds underground this mix is for you. For more info please check out Suseri on Facebook and Soundcloud.

Electrixx live in concert 26.06.2010 maria club

I’ve been a fan of Electrixx AKA Microdizko’s production for quite some time but until now I had never heard a mix from them let alone a live set. When I did it actually blew me away, this mix is a live recording including the screams and howls of an ecstatic Berlin crowd over nearly two hours.

The mixing is as solid as a German tank and the tunes about as brutal. To say this mix is high energy would be an understatement, its 10,000 volts wired straight to your brain and a timely reminder that quality Electro still exists. It will hit the 100 download limit soon so get in quick or I might upload it soon. You can keep tabs on Electrixx via Facebook, Myspace and Soundcloud.

Samari’s “GUN METAL 2010″ Mix

This futuristic genre bender is hard to define but Samari of Melbourne, Australia has done a fantastic job of taking no less than 31 tracks and seamlessly bending them into a true dance floor destroyer.

With its hard tech edge, slick vocals and powerful synths ‘Gun Metal 2010′ delivers a relentless assault on the senses that will leave you stunned, hyped and scrambling for your nearest gig guide.

Recorded in just one hit the mix is littered with effects, loops and samples that only serve to enhance an already diverse track selection from artists such as MMM, Das Glow, Shadow Dancer and Zombie Nation.

A truly great mix is that which combines influences from both music and life to create something that is more than just the sum of its parts and ‘Gun Metal 2010′ has achieved this in very fine form.
